He owns the rights and performs the tracks as often as possible to keep the Skynyrd tunes alive. Hes 62 years old, been down an incredible road of good times and bad, and all he wants to do is play some music with friends, no matter how big the audience. Its a religion to this man, and he holds it dearly. Artimus to this day does not hide the fact that he was on the horrible plane crash that claimed the lives of most of Lynyrd Skynyrd to include Ronnie Van Zant which Artimus tributes this song to each time he plays it, in memory of his long lost brother and friend.
